Airways International Limited is the commercial arm of Airways, an SOE tasked with the provision of Air Navigation Services to 7% of the world’s air space. AIL exports New Zealand IP to ANSP, Airport and Airline customers globally. In this talk, Mark Hoskins reflected on his 30 years of aviation experience spanning various parts of the globe, as well a sharing his perspective on how Christchurch is uniquely placed to succeed in the Aerospace sector.

Emerging Technologies In Aviation; Challenges For Regulation
Rebecca Langton CEng MRAeS, Emerging Technologies Programme Manager, CAA NZ
With a background in RPAS (Remotely Piloted Air Systems) management and Flight Test Engineering from the RAF, Rebecca has recently taken up a new position at CAA NZ working with MBIE’s Airspace Integration Trials Programme. Rebecca discussed how novel concepts of operations in aviation, such as unmanned aircraft, alternative energy sources and increased automation, present challenges for regulation.
