Christchurch Aerospace Meetup #2: University of Canterbury Connections

Our second meetup had a focus on current students and alumni students of University of Canterbury.

  • David Wright, former student at University of Canterbury, had a talk entitled “CubeSats 101” where he gave an excellent overview of CubeSats and his commercial experience building them.

  • Philipp Sueltrop, Doctoral Student at University of Canterbury, is originally from Germany and he discussed what attracted him to study in Christchurch and how we have a different, swift technology development approach.

  • Matthew Fukert, Founder of University of Canterbury Student Rocketry & Propulsion Club, gave an overview of the club’s activities and the upcoming competition they’re attending in Australia.

Thank you to Kea Aerospace for sponsoring the food and beverages for this event.
